Solara Rayne Lizarraga

I met her today and she's already so strong. She has control of her head already and has a strong grip on the finger. She's beautiful.

Tanya hasn't been able to eat sushi cause of the mercury and the baby, so today was the first time she's had sushi since the baby. We ordered Sushi Garden for them.

Right now, I'm looking through photos on my Shutterfly account to print some photos. I've uploaded all the photos of grandma as well as a lot of Lunessa and some of me to add to my Evy photobook now that I look a bit different than before.

With death comes life

 Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm thankful for a lot today. I'm also saddened. When one life ends, another begins. My grandma's funeral was yesterday. It was hard to do and to watch. BUT.....

Not only is today's Thanksgiving and grandma was put to rest yesterday, but little SOLARA was also born today at 5:19am!

When one life ends, another begins.

On the ride back home with Natalie, she was letting me know that our family has had a loved one die as another new family member is born.  With Rene's passing was Gali, with Maribel's passing was Dado, and now with grandma Emma passing comes Solara. Grandma missed her by a week.....

There was so much crapI heard these last few days in Yuma with the family. I'm worried for the aftermath of all of this.

Grandma Emma

Grandma Emma

Luna calls her Nana Emma. I love it. She was here last night and was so fun! We took these two videos last night:

So fun. She brings me joy.

Final Rest

We took a drive to Yuma for a surprise birthday party for my tia Mayela at Mayita's house for tia's 64th birthday. This is the first party that she's ever had thrown for her. It was a great night! I'm so glad that we went. We also got to see grandma. She's on her last days. She knows it and welcomes it and wants it, even. She's in pain. She has to be taken care of. She hates that. It hurts her pride. We see it in her when we were with her. The fact that she can't walk, move, pee, change, or shower on her own is hard for her to even grasp. She is allowing her children to take care of her and her needs.

I reached out to Maribelita last night about grandma's state. I know grandma would have wanted to see her before she passed and not at the funeral, so to speak....Maribelita got on a flight to SD that night! I didn't see it until the morning, but when I did, I was so happy and excited!
